Certainly a little over the top. Sentence is ridiculous. Although she pleaded guilty. But the circumstances Griner created is going to be a very very big political problem. In my opinion, I believe this case will be used fir prisoner exchange. But Griner caused this.

Having cannabis products on you when flying makes no sense. Doing it in Russia in 2022 is positively stupefying. That said, she doesn’t deserve a punishment like this.
Too many stories lately about people being caught bringing things over borders. Do people not understand when you cross an international border you are subject to search? You need to know what you are carrying & ensure you comply w/local laws whether it's undeclared food or drugs
Seems fair in a country where it's illegal.
