The Chinese Association in Gauteng has emerged victorious following a five-year-long hate speech case that was brought to the Johannesburg Equality Court after insults were directed at Chinese communities who slaughter donkeys to sell their pelts

The episode was broadcast on the news programme on January 29 2017.

“It is a very proud day for our Chinese community. Though it has taken five years for this outcome, it has also been over 400 years since our forefathers experienced the indignities and hate of the past,” said the Chinese Association’s chairperson, Erwin Pon.

City Press, you short 'headline summary' is completely inaccurate. It is GANGS that slaughter donkeys - NOT the Chinese community. Pls amend

You want to talk about hate speech without talking about the cruelty with which Chines slaughter animals. There is a reason why hate speech happen. Are they South African citizens or more illegal foreigners?

Every foreign country has an association in South Africa but South Africa has no associations in any foreign country. 'Best constitution law' that suites foreins tf

Hebana!! Amen...🤦

Wait we also hv the Chinese Association in SA winning courts

What's the reaction by the WWF and the NSPCA_SA ?

All foreign national win cases against South African government except South Africans.

Donkey slaughterers should be ashamed. The Chinese tried this same donkey slaughter in Kenya until the Kenya Govt shut down their donkey slaughter house. They will kill every donkey in South Africa if you just watch & do nothing. Disgusting people that kill every thing.

Wow 😯
