University of Ottawa associate law professor Jennifer Quaid said a conviction for price-fixing has to come with an intentional, explicit agreement to hold prices at a specific point. When it comes to the gas industry, the price at the pump is more likely to come from a retailer’s understanding of the industry and commonly-known information on costs, she said.

In emails to Postmedia, representatives for the bureau confirmed Tuesday that they received Kenney’s letter but said they legally can’t confirm whether or not they’re investigating.
Like ALL gasoline prices increase same day even though many have had no gasoline delivered to storage tanks in over a week. And if they did, gasoline was in companies storage tanks for over a week!
