Officer Truman Fitzgerald said there was evidence that the woman was a victim of homicide. They are not yet saying how she was killed.
Fitzgerald said it appeared that someone was living in the house, but it was also undergoing some type of renovation.Detectives were canvassing the neighborhood for possible witnesses and clues. They are asking anyone who may have seen or heard anything to call investigators. The woman is Birmingham’s 76th homicide this year.
