In the first case, the Magistrate's court fixed Aug 18 to mention the case involving the self-employed man and his 17-year-old daughter for the alleged murder of five-year-old Hanan Hasrul Izwan.Magistrate Mohd Firdaus Salleh fixed the date after the prosecution told the court that the forensic, chemist and post-mortem reports were not ready.
Judge Rushan Lutfi Mohamed made the order after deputy public prosecutor Goh Hsiao Tung told the court that the medical reports for the alleged crimes were ready.The judge told the accused that he had until Aug 18 to do so after the court heard that he had yet to appoint a lawyer as he was unable to get in touch with his family.
The accused had allegedly splashed hot water on Siti Syarifah Aibiddin, the mother of Hanan, which caused her to suffer serious burns.
