An industrial high court in Abuja has ordered the upward review of judges' salaries...

Sebastian Hon, a senior advocate of Nigeria, filed the suit before the labour court to request that the pay of Nigerian judges be raised.

The national assembly and the National Judicial Council had tried unsuccessfully to settle the dispute outside of court. The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the attorney-general of the federation were also joined as defendants.Adegboyega Awomolo, counsel to the claimant, in his final address submitted that the salaries and allowances of judicial officers remain unchanged since 2008.

We all do what favors us

This is a very strange judgement. Will the courts provide the money?

Same court that's under jurisdiction of judges, they presides in court, like the saying goes, why do you become judge inside your judgement,

It’s absurd!!

Well done court for making our judges wish come true All hail to the court

Judges have won! In their own court!

But the same court cannot order upward review of Lecturers salaries Abi?

Court can do that? They should order the upward review of ASUU salary then.

The awareness PO had brought to the civil service and public domain is unprecedented. I believe strongly in his ability to turn things around for good in Nigeria. PeterObiForPresident2023

Being judges in their own case. Did an empty court room give the order? Was it not a Judge or a Magistrate, giving such order? I trust Mbuhari sha.

Lol

Courts doesn’t have that power pls.

Let other sectors too press for an upward review in the court.
