Friday’s Supreme Court decision was a momentous victory for American democracy.

America’s founders instituted a legislative branch, consisting of representatives elected by the people, who would make the laws of the land; an executive branch to enforce those laws; and a judicial branch to interpret and apply those laws in individual cases. They never intended for laws to be made by unelected judges legislating from the bench as was the case with Roe v. Wade.

The approval rating of the Supreme Court is at a historic low of 25%. Why? Hypocrisy! For example: 1. To get confirmed, three justices assured senators that Roe would not be overturned 2. To overturn Roe, the majority rejected the long-recognized constitutional right to privacy, previously used to legalize contraceptives, same-sex marriage and interracial marriage. 3.
