A human rights lawyer and activist, Barrister Malcolm Omirhobo, Monday caused a stir at a Federal High Court in Lagos when he appeared in a combination of court dress and attire said to be worn by adherents of ‘Olokun’, the ruler of all bodies of water and other water deities.
The lawyer, who hails from Delta State, last week said he dressed to court in that manner to exercise his fundamental human rights following the judgement of the Supreme Court that allows every Nigerian to express their way of worship and the use of hijab in schools and public places. It was gathered that his colleagues in the Lagos court looked amused as he took his seat to await the day’s proceedings to commence.
Interesting
Please oga keep it up
Until he makes it his daily attire, and wears it everyday, to anywhere and everywhere like the Muslim women do, this will always remain a joke. Time will tell.
Wish this movement will garner more support. I salute this man.
It is commendable, advised to continue. That is what Nigeria want
Sorry, does Nigeria look like a Godly state? We use religion to cover our iniquitous lifestyle.
Good one
That's his right
CJ take note of this man o. The same he did last week in Abj highest court of the land which was followed by CJN resignation voluntarily. Wow !
Way to go
When that law was made effective, I knew what was to come. That law was a drop of water. This is just one of the many thousands of ripples (effects). It is a simple cause and effect case. The 'hijab' activists thought it would end with them. How wrong they are. I shake my head 🤦
The first is not permitted in public schools, why should the secod be.
We need more intellectual radicals like him in Nigeria's political-mix. He's simply making a very strong statement; 'Nigeria is not an Islamic state.'
The System has successfully mocked the judiciary
We just regionalize everything in this country....for me a law attire and a police uniform is something cooperate and general...there no way you can tell a Christian from any of those uniform...so why bring religion into the mode of dress....we need to stop this mentality
And I like his courage again... He is simply carrying out the court verdict. I'm looking forward to other public workers will follow suit.
Man means business
If the Muslim brother and sister thinks it okey ,then they shouldnt be border if other express their religion too.very soon men and woman of the police PoliceNG men will drive in their traditional wear
What is dressed like 'juju priest?' He dressed in his religious apparel.
He has made his point and the name recognition he wanted. It is time for him to take a chill pill and focus on his job!
Funny enough this isn’t what’s killing the nation and its economy, We are good at chasing rat inside a burning building......smh
Thunder fire him if he ever stops dressing like that
Great jurist
Being religious without righteousness equals to highest self deceit.. Nobody can deceive God Almighty.
I urge you to monitor him until this period next year to discover he would have run out of steam. It's normal with blackmailers
In a secular state such as ours, It’s bigotry to bring religion into civil spaces. Just in 7 pantamic bubu years, Its now in our banking sector, law school, schools and so on. The people we share a secular state with, actually wants a religious state.
Abeg just da warn dem da go like dis... If possible after 2023 election go to the swearing in ceremony with the gods themselves
Which one is dresses like juju priest? That's his own faith and the supreme court has said it's constitutional so why all the negative publicity you're trying to draw? Those wearing hijab do you hound them like this all the time? Abeg park well
Let him go naked na him business, hijab matter come to stand. We have no issue with anyone's mode of dressing
The message is that much more people will toe his line of action..what he's doing is symbolic!!
When human becomes too comfortable, he tends to question divine instructions. I don't know why Nigerians are so intolerance to religious issues. Does wearing hijab threatens him? Then let him go naked to make his point. He doesn't need to cloth his body either.
It's your foreign religions that call it juju. It's African costumes and nothing more. Why tag anything African juju?
Point of correction is our traditional Dresses
He is within his rights
We delta people no Dey lele at all well done uncle Malcolm
FreeMaziNnamdiKanu

'juju priest'. 🤦
He’s free
I pray he should continue till eternity.
Hyicenth1
I even suggest we use songo and amadioha to swear dis politicians in ,it will go a long way ,when their children and family members die bcos of going against d oat they will do d right thing
I love it because the judge has put it into law
His stupidity go clear for him eyes the day he is accused of juju-ing someone in a public space. Is this not the same Nigeria where many believe man manhood can disappear with the power of juju. Sahara reporter ma ba ka'nu
I love this man.
He should continue non-stop.
Religion has entered into every sector, thanks to our judiciary .
Actually he's trying to send a message to us all
This guy for President ✊🏾😂😂
Does it mean that lawyers don't have dress code?
Hope some people have seen this too
Rest oga
I pray he won't get tired of that. And he can even try being naked
Na so 👍
To some, FREEDOM and HUMAN RIGHTS are madness. But in actual sense, it's justice, and it's fairness. This man has actually interpreted the supreme Court judgment very well, and he deserves our accolades.
He is exercising his right as upheld by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. What's the noise for. Or, was that Supreme Court judgement only for a particular people. It is binding on all people of different religious beliefs and attire of their faith. No qualms at all.
May it continue 💗🙏
Eze mmuo. 😎
This is nothing but an acts of mischievous ,you can't be intimidating people in the court,be polite nd respect other peoples integrity for a second.
You people shld please let this man be he already made it clear, freedom to dress in which ever way a citizen decides to dress..
If the first isn't his problem, the second shouldn't be👇
Amadioha don enter court room
His choice 😂
I like this man tbh
It's hypocritical, that attire wig and gown he is using to practice law is also somebody's tradition somewhere... If your all of a sudden attire is that important to you, why wait untill Muslim hijabs issue before you start wearing yours. Your mumu never do...
Leave this man alone already. Did you see his colleagues freaking out about his dressing? They know he is within his right.
For been a true son of your father oya collect
Lets be all mad.
He will soon get tired,I can bet it!
I like Barr. Omirhobo. He reminds me of James Spader aka Alan Shore in Boston Legal.
Wetin this man dey try prove because I no understand this move

If Christians lawyers and other traditional worshippers have sense, they supposed to join this man to make sure that useless law is revoked. Let Christians wear celestial garments and traditionalist do accordingly. We all owned Nigeria.
👈👈👈👈That's what our country (Nigeria) wants, go ahead jare sir, they don't want the truth, those schools that there are enforcing female Muslim students to start wearing hijab, ask yourself is it the first time for them to have female Muslim gender in those schools 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Him go tire na, No mind am.
I appreciate your courage Bar Omirhobo. I encourage other activist in the bar to support and join him in this struggle. Justice to one is Justice to all.
I love this man 🤣
I love this man
🤣🤣🤣🤣
vinjyke I like him..he is only respecting the laws of the nation.
Challenge the law bro.
The red colour on his gucci bag complements his outfit well. 😀😃😃😃
Something is wrong with this country 😕
Joining chief soon
Keep up a welcome development
'Juju' is not the right word. That is our ancestral religion. It's traditional and indigenous to our people. It's what our people used to defend our land against the fulani from the Sahel. Show some respect.
Let him enjoy it , as far as it doesn't contradict the rule of the Court, then I see no reason why he should stop
Nice one
That's the spirit. Religion must be shamed by enlightenment.
Make we all mad, maybe that's when peace 'll return. Kudos to hin👏
You look cool bro 👍
