Groups seek to halt Arizona “personhood” law after Roe falls

PHOENIX — The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona and an abortion rights group filed an emergency motion Saturday seeking to block a 2021 Arizona "personhood" law that they worry can be used to halt all abortions in the state.U.S. Supreme Court overturned the nearly 50 year old Roe v. Wade decision

The ACLU and the Center for Reproductive Rights said the personhood provision puts medical providers and pregnant women at risk of prosecution. They said providers could face charges under a host of laws, including child endangerment or assault if the statute stands. "The overturning of Roe allows the states to set abortion laws," Herrod said. "Arizona set this law to say that unborn children are protected in the law."

Abortion is not birth control, nor a right, even the signage states “choice”. Contraceptive products are far more accessible today than the 70’s, so this is about killing a human and harvesting tissue.

Setting legalities for the fetuses they're so concerned about also begins immediately. Life insurance for fetuses, child support for fetuses, claiming fetuses on taxes, as we're 'correcting past errors' retroactive child support beginning at conception, & anything else needed.
