In the wake of recent mass shootings, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Americans have the right to carry concealed firearms in most public places without a permit. What will this mean for Californians?

California’s gun laws are similar to New York’s, so the short answer is yes, but probably not quite to the extent that some people think – at least in the short term.

No specific California law was directly affected but many state and local laws are now vulnerable to legal challenges. All applicants have to complete state guidelines, background checks, training requirements, but some counties require letters of recommendation, others psychological exams.

This is incorrectly presented. The ruling doesn't allow for open carry without a permit. Permits are still allowed. It removed the unreasonable restrictions that were placed by NY to obtain the permit. The Permits are still required. People are still required to apply.

Yes, the constitution and our bill of rights doesn’t stop existing or functioning in light of recent events.

Hopefully no more people getting robbed at gunpoint by a certain community of people. Sorry to say there the ones committing all these smash and grab follow home and stealing watches from people on the streets. But the media nointegrity will report anything unless there white

win

The ruling does NOT allow carrying 'without a permit'.

FoxLAFakeNews You have twisted the ruling and tied it to EMO-Events. Are you saying you are in the side of criminals who carry and not law abiding citizens? Will the elite Hollywood body guards give up their guns? Whoopi? Mayor yoga pants? Lmao.

The constitution doesn't go by recent events. We don't interpret the Constitution 'in response' to current events. Now, relax and wait for the Roe ruling. Lmao!

The law abiding citizens can carry.
