The New York attorney general's lawsuit against the NRA is no mere “witch hunt,” a New York judge has ruled in dismissing the gun rights advocacy group's claims that the case is a vendetta. The decision means the nearly 2-year-long legal fight can proceed.

“Our fight for transparency and accountability will continue,” she said in a statement.

“The NRA believes the NYAG’s pursuit was fueled by her opposition to the association and its First Amendment activities in support of the Second Amendment,” he said in a statement, using an abbreviation for the attorney general’s title. Democratic and Republican senators have been talking about a framework for addressing the issue, but no agreement has been announced.

The NRA. The only organization in the US whose membership is blamed for shit they didn’t do. Up next, Islamic mosques in the US to be sued for deaths and damages on 9-11.

Excellent.

Good but let's not forget the suit against trump for all his scams and fake universities and charitable trusts.

No matter what happens an appeals court would throw out any judgement, lol.

... I feel the NRA overall hasn’t done a good job at protecting the 2nd Amendment Rights of all Americans, especially the 2nd Amendment Rights of poor and minority Americans. We need an organization that will fight for the Rights of all Americans. We the People deserve better.

Pathetic

Justice Joel Cohen of the New York state court in Manhattan said the NRA did not show that Attorney General Letitia James' probe was a politically motivated effort to target the group and silence its speech because she disliked its policies. James, a Democrat, sued the NRA in August 2020, accusing it of diverting millions of dollars to fund luxuries for officials like longtime Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre, using no-show contracts for associates and making other questionable expenses.
