The situation came to light as a Northampton County corrections official was conducting an unrelated investigation, court papers say.

Kelvin Myers, 41, of Forks Township, admitted to institutional sexual assault, according to a news release from Houck’s office. A sentencing date will be set once a sexually violent predator assessment is completed, said Davin Jurgensen, spokeswoman for Houck’s office.

Myers was hired as a county corrections officer in January 2014 and was assigned to the female inmates’ section in 2020, according to the prosecutor’s office. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
