“One in five Australians actually think that women very often make up and exaggerate claims of abuse in order to gain advantage and that’s simply not the case.Mr Andresen said male victims of domestic violence are at a heightened risk of being dismissed by society. “However, for male victims, when they seek help or when they tell their story, they’re disbelieved or their experiences are minimised or downplayed,” he said.
“For them to witness a case like this, where the experiences of a man involved as a victim of domestic violence are being upheld, I think, really, that would bring a lot of hope to those men, who may then be more confident in coming forward and feeling they will be believed,” he said.

well as a victim of physically and verbally abusive partner o was finally represented. So i'm not sure what sbs is talking about...I would think that the victim won which is a good thing.
Why are people making it about men vs women? One person fabricated domestic abuse stories and ruined another person's career in the process. This court case is about finding the truth and exposing the lies. Women will still be believed & men should also come forward. But no lies

It never was intended to stop true victims, infact it was a man seeking help from the courts to prove he wasn't a domestic violence perpetrator and infact a victim of domestic violence himself. Did MSM follow the trial and digest the evidence provided?

I am glad I found live coverage and expert views from lawyers and behavioural analysts through YouTube. They have honest commentary and actually were seeking facts without bias. Very saddened news outlets didn't do the same.
