Police were called to the scene, which took place on the corner of Hyde Road and the M5 in Parkwood, around 11am. “Two of the males that were in the vehicle managed to flee the scene. The suspects are yet to be arrested. The motive for the attack is unknown,” said police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi Community members reportedly sprang into action after people started posting on social media regarding an alleged kidnapping.

“This resulted in someone passing due to injuries after being attacked and assaulted by the community,” said Nicole Jacobus of the Community Policing Forum.
