The two candidates are both saying they will oppose any measure considered a restriction to Second Amendment rights, including a federal red flag law. Brooks is endorsed by the NRA, while Britt has received a high rating by the group.

U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville -- a 2022 U.S. Senate hopeful -- mingles with fellow Republicans during a meet and greet ahead of a Mobile County GOP executive committee meeting on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Mobile, Ala. .

Brooks said the vote on the NDAA legislation, while it was in a committee, was to move the legislation to the full House floor, where amendments are debated and voted on. The Britt campaign sent out an email in late September touting the NDAA and its “crucial funding” for a laundry list of defense-related projects throughout Alabama. The email did not mention the red flag provision, but it did blast Brooks for voting against the NDAA at the time.

Ross pointed to Britt’s comments in September in which she blames the congressman for participating in the “latest example of why Washington is broken.”Bickering over the NDAA aside,as federal lawmakers explore measures to curb gun violence. “Increased, affordable access to quality mental health care and resources has been a major component of my campaign platform, and it’ll be a key priority for me in the U.S. Senate,” she said.

Why do people, who are not fighting in a war, need to carry an assault rifle that can fire many rounds in short amount of time? What is the reason? Make it make sense.

Really Vote Blue.. lives depend on it

We have no reasonable choice in Alabama!

I've told people these two are one in the same. KatieBrittforAL is RepMoBrooks. It really doesn't matter which one wins. Alabama will remain the same.

I don't expect any better from Mo Brooks.

Both are out of touch radicals and not what this state needs.

Of the two, her approach seems more intelligent.

This is one of the main reasons why school massacres continue to happen in the US because of politicians like these people here. No gun is valuable than a life. No one said anything by eliminating guns, but getting them out of any person that shouldn't be having them at all. 🙏🙏

They are both despicable!

Ever notice how media will choose incendiary pictures depending on which way the story leans? Check the Britt pic.

A well regulated state militia does NOT equal unregulated civilian gun ownership. Explain how an 18 year old canNOT purchase a pack of Marlboros but CAN purchase a high powered rifle capable of decimating the flesh of multiple humans in under a minute?

Where does the second amendment say it is the right of mentally disturbed people to have east access to military grade weapons?

Why can't anyone come up with an honest, reasonable alternative to the BS that is ? Something that represents the majority of Alabamians as opposed to a few thousand in the Bham Huntsville metro's.... so tired.

Gotta keep that sweet NRA cash flowing.

So both pro-death?

Such an embarrassment for this state and country.

And Alabama will proudly vote them in office under the guise of Christianity

Lemmings 👇🏻. Hook line and sinker

Looks like KatieBrittforAL isn't pro life for kids. She can't be if she is pro assault weapons.

Its time for real Christians to stand up against these devils. God and guns is oxymoronic. FakeChristians EndGunViolenceNow

Mo Brooks is homies with old head Satan

Both are completely okay with dead children. Gun violence is the number one cause of death for our children un the United States, our breathing, living children.

Both of them are the intellectual and political equivalent of fucking crabs

Alabama’s race to stay at the bottom is remarkable.

The wife and her two kids from St. Clair County may be live today. If Alabama had a red flag law. Instead we have a triple murder suicide.

The difference is… Brooks actually has a record. To see what Britt’s would look like, I suppose you’d have to look at McConnell’s

So the Republican position is do nothing and the dead kids are just an unfortunate opportunity cost?

What will it take for these hate-filled trolls to learn that easy access to a weapon designed with no purpose except to kill as many people as possible is not a good thing? Maybe when 19 white kids from Hoover, Pelham or Oak Mountain get mowed down their tune will change.

God help us! Media is saying Trump won't interfere with the runoff. No doubt, since both have been to Mar A Lago to kiss the ring. Every time Trump comes thru the state, I ask God to make it rain hard to wash away the filth.

I’m voting for willboydforAL. VoteBlueIn22

Disgusting

They both also claim to be Christian and pro life. Alabama deserves better.

They’re in the nra’s pocket. Why on earth would they hurt part of their income. Guns children. Gotta love the US.
