KUALA LUMPUR: The Parliamentary Special Select Committee (PSSC) on Women and Children Affairs and Social Development plans to deliver a comprehensive set of recommendations or roadmap on child victims and witnesses in the justice system.

Its chairman Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said explained that the recommendations were a result of the PSSC's meetings and engagements during a four-day study tour of London which ended on Thursday , with the aim of providing valuable insights to local government agencies.

"The United Kingdom is good at supporting child victims and witnesses through the entire process. It is not only about conviction rates, it's about when incidents like this happens to any child, they know that the system is there to support them," she said in a statement on Saturday . The other members of the Malaysian delegation included Ahmad Tarmizi Sulaiman , Alice Lau Kiong Yieng , Hannah Yeoh , Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil and Fuziah Salleh .
