Justice Oyindamola Ogala of the Ikeja High Court, Lagos, on Thursday, fixed July 7 for judgement in the trial of a couple, Fortune and Stephen Nwankwo, accused of killing their housemaid, Joy Adole.

The defendants are facing four counts of conspiracy, involuntary manslaughter and accessory after the fact to murder.

Upon their non-guilty plea, the Directorate of Public Prosecutions commenced trial with eight witnesses to prove the case against the couple.

It's regrettable. Until we see fellow human being as we see our selves, evil will persist. The service of such maid should have been terminated when couples are no longer comfortable with such individual. It shouldn't lead to death.
