.LevinsonJessica: Ted Cruz's win at the Supreme Court is a loss for America

of Americans give $200 or more to federal campaigns. Wealthy people should absolutely run for office and wealthy people should absolutely be able to spend money to elect the candidates of their choosing, but not to the detriment of the rest of the public. It’s common sense to believe that candidates and officeholders will be more responsive to those donors who can help them get and keep their jobs.

Thanks to a series of erroneous rulings by the Supreme Court, our nation’s campaign finance system is a shadow of what it should be. Individuals, groups and even corporations can spend unlimited sums of money to elect or defeat candidates. Despite a complex network of laws and regulations, the two restrictions which still stand, for now, include transparency requirements and limits to candidate campaigns.

Nice job Ted !! We all know you didn’t do anything wrong even though the fake news says different. But they lost, like usual. Keep up the great work ! God bless Texas 🇺🇸🇺🇸

It allows new blood and business people to be able to finance their candidacies. The court didn’t allow it, they said preventing it wasn’t unconstitutional. You folks are horrible at reporting and headlining your news… I mean made up crap and opinions.

And water is wet

Of course the corrupt office and court did this.

LevinsonJessica Another game player...that have cost America and Americans plenty.

LevinsonJessica This period of history will be refereed to the 'Trump Court Rulings/Era' as they turn back the clock on civil rights and liberties unless Dems take decisive action.

LevinsonJessica Having studied US politics - it saddens me that the bastion of so called democracy is becoming more of a joke; simply there to enrich the already wealthy and oppress all others.

LevinsonJessica You guys never go after corrupt democrats.

LevinsonJessica Fidel Castrojust won, America loses

LevinsonJessica SCOTUS has gone rogue... 😔

LevinsonJessica The decision of Citizens United was only the beginning. No one can tell me that the conservatives on the court care about free and fair elections.
