Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has twice failed to convince the Constitutional Court the impeachment inquiry process she faces is unlawful - but now, armed with a text message and corruption claims, she is again trying to halt that process.
But, while Mkhwebane's lawyers tried to persuade Parliament her flurry of new litigation and criminal complaints about an unsolicited text sent to one of its lawyers would justify it halting its investigation into her alleged misconduct and incompetence, the Section 194 Committee conducting that probe was not convinced.
