Jeff Van Drew was one of only 57 House Republicans who opposed sending $40 billion more in aid to Ukraine to help the country fend off the Russian invasion., including the other 11 members of New Jersey’s congressional delegation. No Democrats voted no.
“With this aid, the United States is sending a powerful message to the oligarchs in the Kremlin: We remain firm in our belief that Ukrainian freedom will triumph over Russian fascism,” said Rep. Donald Norcross, D-1st Dist. The Ukraine aid bill now goes to the U.S. Senate, where Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called for a quick vote there as well.
“The president has called on both chambers of Congress to act quickly, so act quickly we must,” Schumer said Wednesday. “The House vote was overwhelmingly bipartisan and it should be no different in this chamber.”His vote aligned with those cast by some of the most conservative members of the House Republican Conference, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina, Jim Jordan of Ohio and Mary Miller of Illinois.

Good. The federal govt should be worried about the American people. We have out of control inflation due to the reckless spending by the democrats as well as open border problems among other concerns.
