“What frustrates me is that a suspect who was arrested has been given bail and it's [his] fifth bail,' said Bheki Cele.

Police minister Bheki Cele has criticised the Khayelitsha magistrate’s court for granting R800 bail to a suspect facing charges related to a mass shooting.

Cele visited the township in Cape Town on Tuesday after Sunday night’s shooting in which six men died. Police spokesperson Brig Novella Potelwa said murder dockets were opened after police found the bodies of five yet-to-be-identified men while a sixth person died at a medical facility. He said the government needs to review the way it deals with crime.

“What frustrates me is that a suspect who was arrested has been given bail and it’s [his] fifth bail. He got bail for attempted murder, bail for possession of an illegal firearm and bail for robbery...” said Cele.

Arrest the right person who killed Senzo Meyiwa, and we will believe you...

The problem is we black people we are busy killing each other when. We are arrested we are given a white man to judge our case what do you think it will happen, give them bail so that thy must go and continue killing each other, and when we are feel will regret our stupidity

Can’t they report the magistrate to the JSC? This country has a lot of incompetent people & they should be dealt with once identified.

All roles players in the criminal justice system need to start pulling together. At the end people who don't know say the police released a murderer.

Dont want to, but have to agree.

Then, Cele must instruct the police not to rush and rescue some of these animals when the communities are busy with them.

Some of these magistrates are giving to criminals bails like fat cakes that's y they go out and commit crimes again. Criminals must be put away for life. If they don't change they have no place in the society.

Mass murderer, sixth bail. Mcebo Dlamini was arrested for protesting and was denied bail until ConCourt said wait a minute and gave R100. NPA can appeal it.

Don't worry you are making the laws and we are the victims.

He is a cabinet member and should raise this in Cabinet with Minister of Justice and President as Head of State who should address it with Head of the judiciary arm of the State

General Cele is point on this matter... Fith bail for schedule 6 matters
