Mr Lim, the founder of opposition political party Peoples Voice, may face imprisonment for life, or imprisonment of up to 20 years, and a fine for allegedly misappropriating S$30,000 that was entrusted to him.Mr Lim will also be charged for unlawful stalking, related to the alleged harassment of a former employee in 2020 while she was working at his law firm. For this, he may face imprisonment of up to 12 months, a fine of up to S$5,000, or both.
Mr Lim may also face a prison term of up to six months, a fine of up to S$25,000, or both, for allegedly acting as an advocate or solicitor without a valid practising certificate on 66 separate occasions betweenThe police said that investigations against Mr Lim for other matters are ongoing.by the police on Oct 2, 2020 after he failed to attend a compulsory interview a week before.
The interview was for investigations into his alleged offences of criminal breach of trust and stalking.
