Stillwater Middle School parent Riley Flack on fighting back against transgender bathroom rule in daughter’s middle school. An Alabama law making it a felony to provide puberty blockers or perform gender transition surgery on minors took effect Monday.
Republican Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed the law in early April. The law makes it punishable by up to ten years in prison to provide puberty blockers, hormone treatments, or transition surgery to anyone under 19 years old. This photograph released by the state shows Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signing a bill that virtually outlaws abortion in the state on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in Montgomery, Ala.
The law has faces several challenges from transgender groups. The groups have sought to block the bill from taking effect while the litigation is ongoing, but a judge on Sunday made no indication of taking the action. Alabama is the second state to attempt a ban on the use of puberty blockers and hormones on minors. The Arkansas legislature passed a similar law banning doctors from prescribing the drugs in March, but courts said it was overly broad and the state's Republican governor, Asa Hutchinson,
Good let them experience life before addressing such an impactful decision
Why not just ban it entirely
Thank you Ivey!
Beautiful
Thanks God for her
HUGE Republican government at it again. America is now the least 'free' of the free countries.
Wonderful news 👍
Lots of money to be made by pushing this demented agenda.
Awesome
That's great fuckin news. Minors and their dumbass parents should not be making these decisions at this age. Regardless, doesn't matter anyway because they will still be the same gender after these therapies or surgeries.
The idea of gender nor being a binary seems reasonable. If only as gender roles through out society are not as well defined as sexual expression tends to be expressed. At the level of biology, or especially. At the level of the genome. Historically, as language has been concerned
No cap, if I’m stupid enough to have a kid, and they transition, I won’t have a kid anymore
Good.
Good for you Bama hope Texas is next.
Signed by Gov. Meemaw
This is good news. What if a 13 yr old is still confused & gets a sex change welp by the time they decide to change their mind there is no going back. Let young adults discover themselves, allowing them to make the best decisions when they are mature enough
Yet 12-15 year old pregnant 'children' can be a parent?
These are life-changing decisions that should be made by adults.
Further proof governor Memaw hates kids
This is a good move for the kids (like one of my own) that needed puberty blockers for precocious puberty (puberty starting too early) $7,000 per shot every 3 months for 3 years! Why the price so high? Because it's being given to kids that don't NEED it!
Believers of 'small government' showing their whole ass (yet again)
Breaking. Republicans in Oklahoma ban dancing.
Republicans are bad for America Families ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️ ALABAMA THE NATION'S SIXTH POOREST STATE. More than 800,000 of our neighbors – including more than 250,000 children – live below the poverty line.
Government playing the role of parents.
How come the government can rule on this? This is clearly a decision for parents to make and not the state. What is this? Taking full control of its citizens?
