The trial of a BRT driver, Andrew Nice Omininikoron, who was alleged of raping and murdered of a 22-year old fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwola, has commenced before a Lagos High Court sitting in Tafa Balewa Square.

The trial commenced after Omininikoron was re-arraigned on a five-count charge before Justice Sherifat Sonaike.

The Attorney General of Lagos State, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo led the prosecution team in the trial of BRT driver alleged of raping and murdering a 22-year old fashion designer, Ayanwola on February 26. 2022He pleaded not guilty to all the five-count charges. The state government earlier turned down the request of the Ayanwola family’s counsel, Adesina Ogunlana, for a fiat to prosecute the case on its behalf.
