So hang on......she doesn't want her son 'indoctrinated' into someone else's views but she wants to impose her views on him.......

Could the child have taken part and stated that it was proud to be a Christian, perhaps?

Ask the school when they intend to celebrate straight pride

These events make me laugh. Why are you proud of yourself? Is a dog proud just because it's a dog a cat because it's a cat? Am I proud just because I'm heterosexual? Of course not it's just what I am nothing to puff my chest out about!

Stupid legal threat. How would she and her son feel if a white parent object to her son, who is black, being prevented from showing his back pride. I support the school for the parade. Has nothing to do with LGB whatever.

Seems more like a 'self esteem parade' where kids are encouraged to believe in the false neo liberal ideology that the individual matters above all else. All you need is a high opinion of yourself and you can achieve whatever you like. Clearly false!

Pride is considered the root of all sin in every major religion - I don't think anyone would want their child forced into this .... This is also what causes children to have metal heath issues, problems at school or exclusion, kids really hate being forced to do something

'Her' beliefs, not, necessarily, her son's beliefs. No religion should be foisted upon any child, let them make their own mind up, when they are old enough. Being gay is a fact, god, any god, is just a belief.

Something tells me she wouldn’t be slow to complain if she felt she was being discriminated against as a member of a minority group.

I'm fine with Gay Pride but kids are in school to learn math and reading.

You might imagine that being part of a minority group they might be more sympathetic to another grouping which could face similar problems.

Sounds like an event designed to promote tolerance and acceptance of everyone, even if they are different to you. If you are not willing to be a part of that it would suggest that you are the problem, not the school.

They prevented a child attending an event which promotes equality.

She can always just homeschool him if she really wants him to become a heaving piece of intolerant crap.
