Rob Vanstone puts the onus on the CFL to reignite negotiations with the players\u0027 association after bargaining talks reach an impasse.

Back in March, the perpetually positive commissioner made a stop in Regina as part of Randy’s Road Trip. Most memorably, he proclaimed thatSure enough, there is a deadlock. And time is running out.

As of Friday, the two sides were mired in an impasse, with barely a week remaining before each of the“We need more time,” CFLPA president Solomon Elimimian said Friday during a Zoom call with reporters. “That’s what’s needed here. As it stands, the parties are not scheduled to meet again until Wednesday — the same day that rookie camps are to begin.

So here we sit, salivating over the notion of the CFL’s first full season since 2019, and THIS happens.
