"We're passing legislation to crack down on the inhumane treatment of animals in Queensland," the premier said in her post.Pronged dog collars such as this are set to be banned under proposed legislation to be debated in Queensland parliament this week. "We know the majority of Queenslanders support tougher penalties and regulations against cruelty to animals."The RSPCA says on its website the collars are used to "correct" dogs by "inflicting pain as punishment".
