A fresh wave of restrictions will probably center around patients who leave their state to obtain legal abortions in other states, or who order medications to manage their abortions at home. “I think states are not going to rest with just saying ‘there won’t be abortions in our state.’ I think they’re going to want to ban abortion for their citizens as much as they can, which would mean stopping them from traveling,” said David Cohen, professor at Drexel University’s Kline School of Law and lead author of a forthcoming“We’re going to see state-against-state battles that are really going to divide this country even deeper on this issue,” he said.

Roe v Wade US abortion law to be overturned, leaked court decision suggestsBREAKING: A leaked initial draft majority opinion suggests the US Supreme Court has voted to overturn the Roe v Wade decision that legalised abortion nationwide, Politico has reported. Reuters could not immediately confirm the draft independently. Make no mistake, if Scott Morrison and his right wing Liberal colleagues get the chance they will also restrict women's rights to choose. He's cut from the same cloth and will be rubbing his hands together after this judgement and wondering how he can do the same here. This US Supreme Court decision only means they’re reverting to the situation that existed before 1973’s RoeVsWade, i.e. by allowing the individual states to decide again. They’ve clearly decided that it’s a states’ rights issue & thus it’s a step back from too much Federalism.
