Port Harcourt Chief Magistrate Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate A.O Amadi-Nna, on Friday morning.Dagogo was arrested by policemen on Thursday evening at the PDP South-South zonal secretariat in Port Harcourt, where he had gone to be screened as a governorship aspirant.

Recall that the federal lawmaker was declared wanted by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Wednesday for allegedly hiring suspected cultists to attack the state party secretariat, venue of screening for National Assembly and State House of Assembly aspirants. Dagogo, who hails from Tombia in Degema local government area of the state, had in a statement issued that same Wednesday denied responsibility for the attack on the PDP secretariat.

The statement, which was signed by his media aide, Ibrahim Lawal, reads: “Our attention has been directed to the statement credited to the Special Assistant to the Governor of Rivers State on Media, Mr. Kelvin Ebiri on the directives of the Governor to the effect that Hon.

“We state inter alia: Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo is not a cultist and did not send anyone to disrupt the screening exercise.
