Former Minneapolis Derek Chauvin has appealed his conviction, saying among other things that the jury was intimidated by ongoing sometimes violent protests and prejudiced by excessive pre-trial publicity.

Three other officers were also charged in the case., including his long-standing argument that the trial should not have been held in Hennepin County, where Floyd was killed. “The overwhelming media coverage exposed the jurors — literally every day — to news demonizing Chauvin and glorifying Floyd which was more than sufficient to presume prejudice,” the brief said.

Strange how 99.9% of people who tested positive for Covid in 2020 and died not shortly after were listed as Covid related deaths. Yet Floyd tested positive and wasn't put in that list 🤔
