An investigating officer, who identified himself as Masungwini, told Teffo that he had obtained a warrant of arrest after Teffo had failed to appear in court on January 22.
Earlier, Teffo was cautioned to desist from his line of questioning by State prosecutor George Baloyi, who accused him of putting hypothetical scenarios to the first State witness, Sergeant Thabo Mosia. Mosia previously told the court that the exhibit, which was initially captured by photos, had shown blood in the dining room next to the television stand, where the soccer star had allegedly been killed.
This whole episode today clearly points to how the law can be misused and abused. It would put trust back in our criminal justice system if the Minister of Justice or the President can condemn it or order an immediate probe. I felt ashamed to be South African
