Nice micromanaging an economy. Sure that will work out well. Never hire a high achieving man again or you have to fire or underpay the rest.

And now for the $50,000 question: Who exactly determines when a woman is being underpaid, and what standard will they be using? It seems like a straight forward question...but can get cagey when you delve into it. Hmmm...government deciding what is fair? What could go wrong?

France’s socialistic answer will not work. Companies will reduce number of women hired.

And What is underpay when its about performance ?

What they really need to do is enforce mandatory hatpin stabbings on all cis men. You don't get equality without hatpin stabbings.

It doesn’t exist. Compare position to position with experience and you’ll find women actually make more than men until around 30. Common sense dictates a significant percentage of women choose to start families and leave the workforce.

Quite a great decision to favour the women cadre

Clearly the French never read Freakonomics . For this to be impactful, the fine needs to be painful enough that it actually causes a change in behavior. Otherwise, they’ll just pay the fine and justify their behavior by virtue of having paid the fine!

And forms that pay men less? Or how about firms that pay women with less experience a lower wage? Merit is always the answer, not this divisive politicization of the sexes.

Government the world over is “out of control”. They are in no person or entity’s control. They are a force in and of themselves,for themselves. They grow exponentially more and more repressive daily, all for my own good, I am told.

France has a 10% unemployment rate so this should put more people to work.
