Imbayarwo, 32, was found guilty of the brutal attack on Christine Robinson at Rra Ditau Lodge in Thabazimbi on 30 July 2014. Imbayarwo was working as a labourer at the lodge at the time of the murder.Asked by State prosecutor, advocate George Sekhukhune, whether he was remorseful, he first replied:"No comment."However, Imbayarwo, led earlier by his lawyer, pleaded for a"reasonable sentence".
Imbayarwo told the court he had dropped out of school in Grade 9 because his family did not have money. He then came to South Africa when he was 17 years old.
