AKano State High Court on Tuesday sentenced an atheist, Mubarak Bala, to 24-year imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the 18 counts levelled against him.
There was a campaign for his release or trial, with activists saying he was out of touch with his wife and lawyer.
24years!!!. In a country that claim circularity, democracy and freedom of speech. I hope this will not stand.

Nigeria, I never knew 'blasphemy' as it's called was a crime in the law of this federal republic.
How Nigeria's justice system works isn't very clear. On what weight does the judicial jail one and but look the other way in other cases! Why do people who terrorise and kill in the name of religion are being rehabilitated and set free? Something is fundamentally wrong with Nig.

The law & the courts are there to serve justice. Offences are to be frowned at.Justice is best served when the punishment is not weightier than the offence.Somebody who expressed is views on religious matter is so punished.But those stealing public funds are free doing so.UNFAIR.

The northern deserve everything happening to them
Everyone has a right to their belief and what they choose to practice. So long as they are not causing harm to their fellow human being.
