A Maryland judge rules the state’s new congressional map is unconstitutional.

So far courts have intervened to block maps they found to be GOP gerrymanders in North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, infuriating Republicans and leading conservatives to push for the U.S. Supreme Court to limit the power of state courts to overturn maps drawn by state legislatures.

She found that testimony in the case supported the argument that “the voice of Republican voters was diluted and their right to vote and be heard with the efficacy of a Democratic voter was diminished.” In Maryland, where registered Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1 and Democrats hold a strong majority in both chambers of the legislature, the GOP has long criticized the map as one of the most gerrymandered in the nation.

Hogan submitted the maps to the General Assembly, but the legislature moved forward with maps approved by a separate panel that included top legislative leadership, including four Democrats and two Republicans. If the case comes before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the state's highest court, all but one of the serving judges have been appointed by Hogan.

And now the Democratic's have placed Judge Jackson a woman and Black separatist and I'm guessing a Democrat. If Black people in the US could do away with white History the president's monument and the history of the Civil War and doing away with the Constitution they would.
