WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 21: U.S. Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is sworn-in during her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee in the Hart Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill March 21, 2022 in Washington, DC. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, President Joe Biden's pick to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer on the U.S. Supreme Court, will begin four days of nomination hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I'm a bit troubled by some of the positions you’ve taken in arguments that you have made representing people who have committed terrorist acts against the United States and other dangerous criminals,” Cornyn said. “As someone who has deep respect for the adversarial system of justice, I understand the importance of zealous advocacy, but it appears that sometimes this zealous advocacy has gone beyond the pale.

“All of my professional experiences, including my work as a public defender and as a trial judge, have instilled in me the importance of having each litigant know that the judge in their case has heard them, whether or not their arguments prevail in court,” Jackson said. The GOP likely lacks the votes to block Jackson’s confirmation, but lawmakers have made clear they hope to contrast her treatment during the hearings, the first since Biden took office, with those weathered by former President Donald Trump’s picks for the high court.

More qualified than any other candidate.

The gop from Texas have racist undertones in their questions. The depravity of gop has no bottom. Never believe or vote for the gop, SenTedCruz , JohnCornyn , etc.

She is weak on sentencing pedophiles. I don’t think that is a great asset to the Supreme Court.

She is no different than any other leading 'figure ' in Washington.

She was appointed to represent Guantanamo Bay detainees. It's her duty to represent her clients and their wishes, not edit them for some future confirmation hearing. I'm an attorney. We all have undesirable clients from time to time.

Of course they did 🙄🤦‍♀️

I have grave doubts about those two senators.

They raised no doubts. They voted to confirm Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett who were less qualified combined than Brown Jackson is.

Is that the lady who refuses to punish pedophiles

I didn't like choice, but with Cruz against her she must be okay. I have no doubts lying Ted Cruz is terrible. Trump said so.

Ted seems so concerned about people being free to say unpopular things. Yet he’s censored himself since the summer of 2016.

As expected. Drunkey McRapey and Amy Handmaiden get a free pass. But an accomplished Black Woman with actual experience is a threat to those who own the two inexperienced conservative judges.

Why is this news!? This is what we expected 🤪🤪🤪🤪
