NYCN said the court has further affirmed its authority as the last hope of the common man, stressing that it has whipped public servants who think they can manipulate their offices for selfish gains.
A statement issued by Comrade Isah Abubakar, President, Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, said, “The Northern Youth Council of Nigeria have received the news of the landmark judgement by courageous Justice Evelyn Anyadike of the Federal High Court Umuahia, declaring the controversial section 84 of the recently signed amended Electoral Act invalid with so much joy.
”If not for the selfishness on the side of members of the National Assembly, they wouldn’t have contemplated inserting what it called “that annoying component” in the country’s electoral system. The group lamented that some members of the National Assembly were behind the annoying section of the law that strategically planned to have a competitive advantage over others as the 2023 elections draws nearer.
It observed that with this, they should use the strength of their offices coupled with their achievements over the years to contest without infringing on the right of others to occupy offices in the country.
AGF MALAMI MALAMI DESPERATE cherche for IMMUNITY he intend to use his position to win élections,he want to become governor not because he want to serve his people but because he's looking for IMMUNITY to protect him from all his atrocities and looting😡😡
There was a thought that the judiciary is the bottle neck of the present administration. If a referendum will be conducted at the moment, the provision of the section 84(12) of electoral act as signed will stand.
We have two laws governing a so called one country (Nigeria) one for the south another for the north. The northern law is flexible, while the southern law is rigid. This corrupt practice is too glaring
