Police Are Now Puppets In Hands Of Nigerian ‘Big Men’ — YeleSowore's Lawyer, Abubakar Marshal Reacts To N200million Lawsuit Peddled By Ned Nwoko | Sahara Reporters

Abubakar Marshal, the lawyer who was arrested after filing a lawsuit on behalf of human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore against businessman and former lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, has taken a swipe at the Nigeria Police Force.

According to him, the police officers who arrested him and Sowore had not followed the right, legal procedures as they were blindfolded by the bribes they were paid by the so-called billionaire. Marshal said the police officers were following a plot mapped out by Nwoko and his cronies which was to either arrest Sowore or himself and keep them in custody for the weekend.

He further stated, while in court, he observed Ned Nwoko's allies giving instructions to court officials in order to pervert the course of justice. He said, “They had a script, it was either to get their hands on Omoyele Sowore or on Marshal Abubakar; since it was a Friday, the idea was to see how to further demoralise us but we've sworn that we'll never give up our humanity to these people. These are persons who have at one time or the other felt they can use the instrument of state to oppress, demean and fight us for asking them to do the right thing.
