Najib's lead counsel, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, has claimed the judge, Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali, was involved in a loan application by 1Malaysia Development Bhd with Maybank when he was the bank's general counsel.
Najib and his defence team was at the Federal Court for a hearing on his appeal to adduce new evidence in his SRC case, which is now at the appeal stage at the apex court. SRC is a subsidiary of 1MDB.
