As he pushes a Supreme Court nominee and manages a foreign policy crisis, the president's service on the Foreign Relations and Judiciary Committees is coming in handy.

Joe Biden is trying to get a historic Supreme Court Justice nominee confirmed while managing the worst military crisis in Europe since World War II. Those around him say he’s more at ease than at other points during his presidency. His Senate tenure, they add, is the reason why.

“He’s been working just like he does, like he’s always done: He’s steady,” said former Sen. Alan Simpson who served with Biden on Judiciary and hailed both Biden’s pick of Jackson and his handling of the crisis in Ukraine. And while Biden has faced criticism that his Senate tenure can make him too accommodating — too vested in forging consensus — at a time when bolder, quicker action is needed, Simpson saw that background as an asset in difficult times.

“Just about all leaders of Europe at one time were parliamentarians, they were a member of the parliament, and they had inter-parliamentary meetings and Joe Biden was doing those meetings and meeting with those folks since 1976,” said his longtime Senate chief of staff, former Sen. Ted Kaufman. “If you are a governor or new Senator, you are not going to be very knowledgeable on foreign policy issues.

It could also present Biden with an opportunity to rebuild trust not just with the American public but with allies abroad after the calamitous exit from Afghanistan. Former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said he spoke to many ambassadors, and former foreign and defense ministers last summer who were shocked by what unfolded.

Because he's senile and catatonic?

I doubt he remembers his service on the Foreign Relations and Judiciary Committees, but sure, guys, go with this.

'At ease'? This is a perfect example of how the media distorts the facts to frame and manipulate their message. Biden has not been at ease since he started running for president. He looks fearful, lost, angry and befuddled. He couldn't look less at ease.

The leader of Ukraine must leave Ukraine. Ukraine must be a buffer Nation between the USA-NATO and Russia as these groups are hostile. There must be a red line limit between the West-Nato and East-Russia as there was a boundary between W.Germany and the DDR right after WWII.U

Biden doesn’t “Manage” anything One can only guess who is pulling the levers in the White House but it isn’t Joe Biden

Biden is at ease because he doesn't know or understand what is going on & just appeases or as Churchill said An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile-hoping it will eat him last. Having served on a Foreign Relations comm. makes no difference never understanding to begin with.

This we were really afraid. It gets worse after worse. Congress must stop Biden. America is on the verge of collapse because of Biden's anti-nationalist policy.
