PETALING JAYA - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor will most likely be hauled to court again – this time over a RM1.25 billion (S$412.2 million) solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak. The wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to face several charges together with her former aide Datuk Rizal Mansor. A Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission source said the duo would be charged by this week.

The wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had claimed trial to 17 counts of money laundering involving over RM7 million (S$2.31 million) when she was first charged on Oct 4. During the proceedings before Sessions court judge Azura Alwi, deputy public prosecutor by fiat Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram informed the court that all trial-related documents pertaining to the case had been given to the defence.

Rosmah appoints new lawyers in case involving $493,000 bribe over solar hybrid projectKUALA LUMPUR - Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has appointed new lawyers in her case involving a RM1.5million (S$492,796) bribe over a solar hybrid system project at rural schools in Sarawak. DPP Ahmad Akram Gharib informed the court when it was brought up for mention before High Court judge Justice Azman Ahmad. 'I was informed that Rosmah has changed her defence line-up. The new line-up has applied to have a look at the documents before the case is brought up for mention for a transfer to the High Court,' he said on Monday (Dec 10).
