The DWTS favourite hopes that she and her sister-in-law helped to create more opportunities for women in their sport

Nina Carberry is tipped as one of the favourites to win this year's season of Ireland's Dancing With the Stars and is no stranger to being tipped to win with an expansive career as a successful jockey behind her.

"It's hard to say, I suppose we both came out at the same time, myself and Katie, and there wasn't many girls before us that were riding against professionals that much," she said. Despite being a hugely successful jockey, with 398 winners in Ireland along with 23 in Britain and 2 in Germany, she hung up her saddle and announced retirement in 2018.

"That's one thing, obviously I don't know when I'll be out of the competition but that's one thing, it's only weeks away so it will be interesting to see." Nina previously told RSVP Live that her daughters Rosie and Holly love watching her perform on the show.
