As beautiful as Tasmania is, it's really, really backward in a lot of areas, like this ridiculous law, as well as no abortion clinics. Tassies healthcare system is the worst in Australia & the law favours the rich. No funding for Legal Aid. Gotta get rid of the Liberal govt here.
That is absolutely stupid. Why is the evidence act different for Tassie ? Each state probably has there own version, but that's stupid too. Things like this that are just WRONG should just sit in one National Act. Unless you want all the rapists to move to Tassie? unjust
There's a reason, & it's common, that minors don't have their identities revealed. They don't need to be tagged/burdened for the rest of their lives with a crime 'story' because of one court appearance. The fact the teacher only got 2 years jail is more concerning! 😠 60mins

Wow! That says a lot about this country’s law system and the government!
Many government related services treat people the same way, saying “it never happened, it’s all in your mind”, even though there’s official court documents and photos of the injuries proving otherwise - either way, people forget how their words & actions can affect others.
