Roberts-Smith is suing the Age, the Sydney Morning Herald and the Canberra Times over reports he alleges are defamatory and portray him as committingThe newspapers are pleading a defence of truth. Roberts-Smith denies any wrongdoing, including the alleged unlawful killing in Darwan.

He said Roberts-Smith took charge of questioning the detained man. “[Person 11] was still holding the individual – the individual was catapulted backwards and fell down the slope.”He gave evidence that he followed Roberts-Smith and Person 11 down a track system that led to a dry creek bed, where the man had landed.

I think BRS must come from the same mould as Christian Porter. Having got away with extremely bad behaviour for decades they think they are invincible. Hence can't resist the urge to sue for defamation when their bad behaviour is called out. 1/2
