Prosecutors are now arguing that the trio’s actions were motivated by racial animus at their federal hate-crimes trial. Bryan also repeatedly referred to the man by the racial slur and called him a “monkey,” Bernstein said.
“It’s not illegal to use racial slurs,” Bernstein told jurors. “But these slurs can provide you with evidence as to why a defendant did what he did.”

What if for just 1 day all White ppl, who’ve called or referred to Blacks as the so-called N-word or think of Black ppl as “monkeys”, would just drop the act and confess ? It would be the beginning of truth & reconciliation.Til then we can pretend it’s a rare thing & act shocked
