JUST IN: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Ministry of Justice, on Thursday, disagreed on establishment of an agency to manage forfeited assets.

This is just as the Central Bank of Nigeria kicked against proposed new anti-money laundering law instead of amending the existing Money Laundering Act 2011.EFCC chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, Malami and other stakeholders spoke at a public hearing on three bills: “Money Laundering Bill, 2021”; “Public Complaints Commission Bill, 2022” and the “Proceeds of Crimes Bill, 2021.”
