Professorship: 'I’m a law-abiding citizen', Pantami reacts to ASUU verdict - Punch Newspapers

Nigeria’s minister of communications and digital economy, Isa Pantami, has hinted that he would obey the decision of the court on his appointment as a professor of Cybersecurity by the Federal University of Technology, Oweri.

When asked to react to ASUU’s verdict while addressing reporters after the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, the minister said, “On your second question, no comment. No comment, and no comment. That is my position. I’m here for an official assignment that focuses on my responsibility. So anything to deal with my ministry of communications and digital economy, I can be subjected to you and that is why I come here. I couldn’t go anywhere.

Kooky Dr. Pantami! A venerable leader, who knows Qur’an as he knows his palms, dishonouring his personality on ambiguous things. Who doesn’t know that FUTO gormlessly dishonour Pantami with that professorship? It’s a dirty on his white garment. Period!

I concur with the 'prof' on this issue of his professorship. He did not beg nor solicit for it from FUTO . But the university which is a corporate entity and empowered by law to make the award , in it's wisdom, found him worthy of it. Who is ASUU therefore to query it?
