Alex Eggerking says her treatment as a staffer to one of Australia's most powerful judges killed her faith in the legal profession, but she wants other people who have been sexually harassed to know that they can heal.An independent investigation was carried out into allegations of sexual harassment by former High Court justice Dyson Heydon

Ms Eggerking was one of six women whose allegations of being sexually harassed by the former judge were independently investigated by Dr Vivienne Thom on behalf of the High Court of Australia. "It was conducted without having statutory powers of investigation and of administering affirmations or oaths," the statement said.

"And it was [a] perfectly professional and innocuous conversation, you know, talking about the court, talking about the law, talking about being an associate." "So I remember not wanting to go inside. But I remember taking only my valuables and leaving my bag in the car, and saying I would just come inside for a quick look."I didn't want to see his desk. And I felt, at that point, as though he was trying to manipulate me into a situation where I might be alone with him.Former High Court judge Dyson Heydon has denied emphatically any allegation of sexual harassment.

"But I also had no sense that I could leave … no one leaves a High Court associate position without questions being asked, and I wasn't ready to answer those questions.

It looks to me like Heydon had clumsy game, why did these women get millions of tax payer dollars for a bad approach?

I’ll say it again, Laura’s little smirk and Alex’s giggle at the end illustrates what a fun time these girlies were having doing this show. And Laura’s post production voice over “She reluctantly followed him into the room” was pure gold. I can picture her in the sound booth😂😂

A wonderful interview please make Laura Tingle Lee's successor she has skill and humanity

What a disgrace is Heydon. When I think of my late uncle, a Supreme court judge, with impeccable credentials & a history of bravery & ethics, I wonder how someone like Heydon can show no remorse for his lechery or live in this world with normal people.

part of the problem is the bizarre expectation that the legal profession & judges are somehow superior to the rest of the general population. There are liars, thiefs, perverts, crooks, pedophiles, corrupt & morally bankrupt individuals judiciary, banks, hospitals, politics.......

Justice Heydon was Abbott's hand picked RC setup to destroy The Union Movement, Heydon remarkably also handed Abbott his Rhodes Scholarship, during his University days. Mabeye it's not what you know, but who you know. Now this.

I can totally relate to this…I was a leading risk management partner in a big 4 firm where I was subjected to serious bullying leaving me with PTSD… my exemplary 30 year career was over and I have paid a very high price 😥
