The final version that was approved last Friday said plainly that the Jan. 6 committee is working to persecute “ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”with the RNC’s language, as well as the move to censure Cheney and Kinzinger.
McConnell, along with most of the other Republicans who have decried the resolution, opposed the formation of the Jan. 6 committee to investigate said “violent insurrection.”
