Zuma continues to argue that his fair trial rights have been violated by the NPA, and insists that these violations have fatally tainted his prosecution.- Karyn MaughanZuma also contends that, even if his appeal application is dismissed, there are “questions of law” in that case that must still be decided by the Supreme Court of Appeal.
He says Zuma has also failed to “identify the legal provision in terms of which the application [for leave to appeal] is brought”. Zuma used section 106 of the Criminal Procedure Act to unsuccessfully argue that Downer lacked the"title" to prosecute him because of his alleged bias and lack of impartiality. How can an"old person" be forced to go through a six month trial before he can appeal, Mpofu asks.Mpofu has spent 20 minutes arguing that - because the state filed an answering affidavit to Zuma's application in support of leave to appeal - his constitutional rights were violated.
Zuma not only refused to participate, he dared the apex court to jail him. In that context, Mpofu's claims that Zuma has been mistreated are factually and legally unsustainable.Mpofu points out that the constitution states that everyone is equal before the law and is entitled to equal protection before the law."Let's not have the Zuma law, let's not have laws that are uniquely reserved for him.
In papers filed at the Pietermaritzburg High Court , Downer argues that Judge Piet Koen should deny Zuma leave to appeal the dismissal of his so-called"special plea", in which Zuma had sought Downer's removal as his prosecutor and his subsequent acquittal on corruption charges.
And you are laughing all the way to the bank ~ you are part of this circus, you are the enemy of the people and equally despised 😰
I don't care a bit what ever might happen to him...he put south Africa thrue hell...its his time to burn.

Law must take place finish
Yes he has. Other people dont have their former spy bosses let them out of prison for no good reason. Other criminals must go to trial, and dont get to delay it indefinitely. Zuma certainly has been treated diffrently. If he was innocent, he wouldnt fear the courts. He is not.
That’s because he is unique the best wriggler in the world will wriggle out of every thing ! Will probable even wriggle out of death ! Like one of those budest monks who are dead but not dead who sit in wriggle position !
He is being held accountable. If you do not rant special attention you shouldn't sell out your entire country to corruption
Kwaaaaks..... But isn't it true? People treat him differently from others....
Yes he is correct, Zuma has been treated differently by being treated special.
Yol are confusing yourselves, Zuma did SA worse than Covid and we haven’t dealt with him compared to what he has done. Law is law .
He is looking for the money 💰
I was a witness in a case. Received my summons the morning of the court case and rushed to court. When I got there luckily the case was still heard my summons for arrest was prepared. Atleast uBaba was warned before 🤦🏿♂️
Absolutely right - he's had more chances and extensions and leeways extended than anyone else in history
He has treated South Africa and its people like trash.
